Bogdan: Liverpool talk 'mere speculation'

Bolton goalkeeper Adam Bogdan has described reports he may join Liverpool as "mere speculation" but admitted he wants to play at the top level.

Bogdan has been linked with Liverpool as Brendan Rodgers seeks a new goalkeeper to challenge Simon Mignolet, but the 27-year-old is not paying too much attention to the rumours.

However, Bogdan is yet to respond to Bolton's offer of a new contract, according to the Bolton News, and has hinted he would like to join a top-flight club this summer.

"I am confident that soon will decide my fate," he told Nemzeti Sport.

"My goal is to play at a higher level, but it also depends on where you get a chance.

"We'll see, everything is decided in the next week or two."

Bogdan, also linked with Stoke, is currently Bolton's only senior goalkeeper, but Neil Lennon may move for Manchester United's Ben Amos on a free transfer if he loses his No.1 this summer.
